Renault Duster Diesel

Renault has badged Duster as 'The True SUV'. Duster is available in 12 variants with 2 engine options, 3 transmissions and 2 fuel options. It is powered by two powerful engines - 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel, both mated to manual and automatic transmission. The aggression is visible on the front profile and it does lend a manly stance to the SUV. Lower bumper features a silver skid plate, black cladding and small rounded fog lamps enclosed in black housing. Flanks feature a side stepper, prominent character lines, ORVMs and alloy wheels. The AWD feature ensures that driving in the harshest conditions is effortless. The bold look is further enhanced by the new hawk eye cluster headlamps with firefly fog lamps, the signature waterfall LED tail lamps and kayak roof rails. Renault Duster is accessible in 7 different colours - Cayenne Orange, Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver, Outback Bronze, Pearl White, Slate Grey Metallic and Woodland Brown.

Renault Duster is 4315 mm long, 1822 mm wide and 1695 mm in height. The SUV gets an ample of space in the car for 5 people to sit comfortably. It has a wheelbase of 2673 mm and has ground clearance of 205 mm making it an appropriate SUV for all road conditions. The dual winged front grill at the front gives Duster a muscle look. The headlamps have been redesigned with smoked lamps. Talking about the sides, Duster has a silver footstep for easy entry/exit for the passengers. The wheel arches have been rolled out giving it a wider look. B-pillar has been blacked-out and the Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) are electrically adjustable with power folding. Duster has 16 inches 5-spoke alloy wheels which make it the perfect SUV tyres. 

Renault Duster has received an equipment upgrade with new clocks and a touch-screen infotainment system being offered with the entire range of features after being introduced with the Duster AWD. Duster is offered with new seat upholstery options, power windows with anti-pinch and a contemporary multifunction steering wheel which keeps the driver active and handy. It also acquires navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Renault currently offers a navigation pack with the Duster.

The engine line-up stays the same as before, a 1.5 litre diesel and 1.5-litre petrol. The diesel is available in two configurations. One of the engines produces a power of 84 BHP at 3750 rpm and a torque of 200 Nm at 1900 rpm while the bigger engine produces a power of 108 BHP at 3900 rpm and a whooping torque of 240 Nm at 2250 rpm. While the petrol engine produces an impressive power of 102 hp at 5600 rpm and an excellent torque of 145 Nm at 4000 rpm of torque. The 84 BHP diesel and the petrol engine have been mated to a five-speed manual while the 108 BHP diesel has been mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The Duster is also offered with the shift-on-fly all-wheel-drive option along with the standard front-wheel-drive setup. 

Safety equipment such as electronic stability program and hill start assist is available only on the AMT and AWD versions. Airbags are missing in the base petrol and diesel variants while only the top-spec trim gets an additional co-passenger airbag along with the driver side airbag. Reverse parking camera with guidelines is exquisite to AWD trim while engine immobilizer, remote central locking and door open warning sign are standard across Duster range. Other vital features like speed sensitive auto door locking, impact sensing auto door unlock, rear defogger, rear wiper and washer and driver seat belt reminder are missing in the standard and RxE variants.

Comfort goodies on board include air conditioner with heater, tilt adjustable power steering, power windows with illuminated switches in front as well as rear except for the base trim, rear seat centre armrest with two cup holders, rear reading lamps and versatile rear parcel shelf with storage space. Equipment available exclusively on the high end AWD variant are driver side auto up-down anti-pinch power window, front driver seat armrest, height adjustable front seats with lumbar support for driver seat and illuminated glove box. Cruise control lets you enjoy the highway drives. Cruise is also controlled through mounted buttons on steering wheel. Driver's seat can be manually adjusted according to the height of the driver.
