Overview
WR-V is loaded with a host of comfort features for the convenience of passengers. Honda WR-V shares its several body panels and mechanicals with the hatch - the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine. The WRV's petrol engine comes paired with a five-speed manual transmission, while the diesel offers a six-speed manual unit.
The petrol variant offers a mileage of 17.5 kmpl, whereas the diesel version manages to return 25.5 kmpl. The WR-V is available in two variants namely - S and VX. The Honda WR-V colours include Orange, Grey, Maroon, Silver and White.
Exterior
WR-V is 3999 mm long, 1734 mm wide, 1601 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2555 mm. It sits pretty high enough from the ground giving it a clearance of 188 mm and turns under a radius of 5.3 metres, which is not much for a MUV making it easy to turn even in tight spaces.
At the front, the solid wing chrome grille gives it a bold look. It has new smoked headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and position lamps. The front fog lamps have been made sharp with bezel around it. The front bumper skid plate really adds a bold look to the car.
Coming to sides, b-pillar and c-pillar have been blacked out. The 16-inch gunmetal finish alloy wheels are big enough to give it a sporty look. Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) are electrically adjustable with power folding. At the rear, silver bumper skid plate gives it a look of a crossover. It has spilt type rear combi lamp and a stop lamp mounted at the rear spoiler.
Interior
Honda WR-V gets asymmetrical black dashboard with a touch-pad climate control unit, and the neat, large part-digital instrument cluster. The WR-V also gets features like a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a segment-first sunroof. Honda's man maximum, machine minimum philosophy ensures that there is ample space inside the car Boot. However, Honda is neither offering the Magic Seats like in the Jazz, nor 60:40 split seats.
Performance
Under the hood, the WR-V gets SOHC 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol that produces 90PS at 6,000rpm and 110Nm at 4,800rpm as well as a DOHC 1.5-litre I-DTEC turbo-diesel that puts out 100PS at 3,600rpm and 200Nm at 1,750rpm. The diesel gets a 6-speed manual and the petrol gets a 5-speed manual - however, there is no CVT option like in the Jazz.
The precise gearbox and the light clutch only make the experience that much nicer in slow-moving traffic. Honda is claiming that the petrol WR-V will return an overall average of 17.5kmpl which is quite respectable.
Safety and Security
Honda has taken care of safety for the drivers and passengers as well. Safety features has been kept standard across all the variants. Build on ACE body structure, WR-V already is a strong and safe car. It comes with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD) to ensure proper control on the car in poor weather conditions. Dual airbags take care of the safety for the driver and co-driver in case of an impact. WR-V has impact mitigating headrests, day/night interior rear view mirror, driver side one touch up/down with pinch guard and rear camera with guidelines.
In terms of safety, the WR-V gets ABS and dual front airbags as standard features. WR-V gets automatic climate control with touch control panel. Top variant also gets multiview rear parking camera with 3 display modes - wide view, normal view and top-down view.
Comfort and Convenience

The driver seat comes with height adjustment feature for the convenient driving position of the driver. It gets 12V power outlets for mobile charging and more.
