Toyota Prius has set a new benchmark in the luxury hybrid car segment. The sedan has been upgraded in terms of performance parameters and styling features. The exterior includes a new LED headlamps and fog lamps with daytime running lights. The new interior features introduced in this model include a multi-information instrument cluster with head-up display and a new touchscreen display music system with 10 speakers. The safety features of seven airbags, including driver knee airbag, ABS with EBD and traction control are featured in this model. Toyota Prius is accessible in 7 different colours - Attitude Black, Dark Blue Metallic, Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Super White, Emotional Red.

Toyota Prius exteriors have a wide bumper and bonnet with impressive design of body contours and aerodynamically perfect windscreen and roofline. The new LED headlamps with turn indicators and daytime running lights along with front fog lamps give it a distinctive and elegance stance on the road. The electrically-foldable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, body-coloured outside door handles, alloy wheels with rating 195/65 R15 and the brilliant colour options enhance its exterior styling. The rear profile has stylish tail lamps extending up to the quarter panel and a wide opening tailgate with Toyota logo and Prius signature.

Toyota Prius gets spacious interiors with well-cushioned driver and co-passenger seats along with height adjuster and lumbar support. The rear seats come with a head restraint, an armrest with cup holders and folding feature for expanding utility space of the boot. The comfort and convenience features on offer include leather upholstery, dual auto AC, leather-covered steering wheel with buttons for audio, MID, cruise control and telephone. The excellent quality of entertainment is delivered through the infotainment system with a touchscreen display and 10 speakers. 

Toyota Prius have a hybrid drive system with 1798 cc 4-cylinder engine delivering the power of 98 PS at 5200 rpm and torque output of 142 Nm at 3600 rpm. The hybrid system has a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a power of 72 PS and torque of 163 Nm. The combined output of hybrid system inactive is 122 PS, and Continuously Variable Transmission system transmits power and torque to the front wheels.

The excellent performance of engine combined with high power and torque of hybrid system can take the vehicle from idling to the speed of over 120 kmph in a quick interval. The driver can choose drive mode from Normal, Eco, Power, and electric mode giving a wide range of options for the driver in selecting a right mode for power, performance and fuel economy. The high comfort of occupants on long drives is assured with McPherson strut suspension at the front and torsion bar at the rear absorbing maximum of the road shocks.

Toyota Prius gets ventilated disc brakes at front and solid disc brakes at rear. The firm grip on the road by alloy wheels is further improved with anti-lock braking system, brake assist, electronic brake force distribution and traction control, assuring effortless driving on all sources. Safety features include airbags for driver and co-passenger, side airbag at front, curtain airbags at the rear and driver knee airbag.
