Hyundai Motor India Ltd has finally launched the special edition of xcent in India to celebrate 20th Anniversary. Hyundai motors recently completed two decades of operation in India this year. The special edition Hyundai xcent will be sold only in the mid-level S variant, this special anniversary edition comes at an additional cost of Rs. 16,999. It is priced at Rs 6.22 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 7.15 lakh for the diesel variant (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The interior of Hyundai xcent now comes with black and sporty red dual-tone fabric upholstery, a 6.2-inch Blaupunkt touchscreen infotainment system. The exterior will be the same except some minor changes like chrome finish front grille, a boot-lid spoiler with a reflector strip, additional chrome detailing to the rear, 20th-anniversary badge on the boot and side-body graphics.
Under the hood, the new edition xcent will continue with the current working engine. The Xcent is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 82bhp of power and 114Nm of torque, and a 1.1-litre three-cylinder diesel engine that develops 69bhp of power and 180Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission while there is also an optional four-speed automatic gearbox in petrol variants.
